Review: ETUDE House's Juicy Cocktail Nail in Screw Driver

Have you ever seen a people with dirty and un-cared nails? Don't you think they're disgusting and ugly?

       Well, like what people say
                                 "Good shoes bring you to a good place"...
                                                           So do pretty nails.. they bring you to a pretty place..

That's why, since i want all girls to arrived in such pretty place, I decided to do a nail lacquer post..

Actually this suits more for summer, but you can also use it for fall and autumn..

 

As you can see each pack contains 3 colors, which you can use alone for each color.. :D

Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails from ETUDE comes in various colors..Mine is the number 1, Screw Driver

 

There are some new colors come out lately.. I like all the new colors..

But, mine are also pretty.. here's the swatches..

The first color is a kind of peachy orange color which i really love.. You have to apply two coats to make this color more vivid, but one coat produces more natural color..

The second color is mostly transparent orange with less glitters in it.. Apply this color only to half or 2/3 part of your upper nails.. One coat is enough

Last color is an energizing orange.. with more glitters in it.. One coat for this color is enough or you will make it looks harsh

Result with one coat for each color..

Good and pretty color for summer, fall, and autumn.. 

It matches floral printed clothes too.. <3<3<3

Here's the result for two coats each.. super vivid and full of energy color..

You know.. orange color can give more energy to it's user.. and also, this nail lacquer is sooo long lasting that you don't need to do your nails every other day.. Simple way to be more pretty..

Makes Your Eyes Larger and More Expresive with Eyeshadow

Every girls, must have at least once dreamt for a large and expressive eyes..Cause just by looking into your beautiful expressive eyes, you can make a man can fall for you.. Never hear bout that before? ;)

Oh, but you also need to behave well, cause there's no such a good man who will fall for pretty girl with no manners..

And in this short post, I will tell you how to get that large, beautiful, and expressive eyes to catch a man's attention.. Here we go girls!!

 Having a large eyes is good, it can make you look more youthful and cute..

and an expressive eyes will add plus points to your eyes.. large or not your eyes are, as long as they're expressive, they will makes you look cute and pretty..

That's why, expressive eyes is every woman’s dream and one of the reasons behind the existence of decorative cosmetics.

When trying to visually reshape your eyes, makeup is your best ally as long as you keep in mind that black and dark colors make the eye look smaller.

If you wish to optically enlarge your eyes add eye shadows beginning at the inner corner and working outward eventually using darker tones as you near the outer corner. Use lighter and darker nuances of the same color for best results. (I always recommend neutral colors for everyday look! Neutral and natural are the best!)


     1. The Choice
Select a light neutral color of shades. I usually choose a color that suits my skin color the best, but if you wanna add more color, you can take a light grey color for pale skin, and honey or walnut color for darker skin.

     2. Defining The Guidelines
Add eye shadows only to the area below your crease.
To find your crease, you need to look in the mirror and using your finger as a guideline place it horizontally to the point where the peak of the fold of your lid meets the brow bone.

   
     3. The Method
The brush that you use to apply eye shadow should be soft and flat. Apply shadows with horizontal strokes following the guideline of your finger.

     4. Application 
You can paint outside the boundaries of your eye toward the outer corner, but keep within the guidelines determined by your finger. Blend all nuances smoothly to avoid creating contrast and looking like a clown.

    
     5. The Finishing Touch
There should be no great difference where the eye shadows end and the skin on your temples begins. If there is a contrast, do your best to blend the shades as close to your skin as possible. If you do this right, you will create the illusion of bigger and wider eyes.

OKAY, but actually, i don't use eyeshadow that much.. so here are steps that I usually do..

1. Neutral Color Ombre Eye Shadow (in some occasions)
Put a light beige color on your eyelid and a medium to dark brown color near the crease adds dimension to your face, widening your eyes instantly. Just make sure you blend the transition well!

2. Groom your Eyebrows
Maintain a clean shape to keep your eyebrows from weighing down your eyes and pulling attention downward. Keeping your eyebrows nicely shaped also will make your eyelid look bigger.
   *simply arched brows - sexy look
   *straight brows - youthful look

3. Stay Natural
Too much make-up and dark colors will make your eyes look heavy and small. For everyday look I like to keep it clean with just a little mascara and line my waterline with brown liner.

4. Thighline / Line Your Upper Waterline
Draw attention away from gaps or sparse areas to make your lash line fuller as well as elongate your eyes.

5. Inner Corner Blast
Add a light color to your inner corner, and you can also line your half inner lower waterline. Matte white or beige for everyday look, and light shimmery color for special occasions..

6. Keep Your Eyebrows Full
If you aren’t blessed with the gift of naturally full eyebrows, be sure to fill them in.Cause you don't want to have a large wonderful eyes, but empty brows.

7. Curl Away
Curl your lashes! Start at the root of your lashes and pump three times, then move midway up your lashes and repeat. This will keep the curl looking natural and not too sharp. If your lashes headed up, it add more height to your eyes and makes them look larger than when you don't.

8. Keep Close To The Lash
Concentrate most of the color you apply close to the lash line. This will create a structure and shape which will then widen your eyes. Applying heavy color too close to your brow will overwhelm and make your eyes look heavy.

Eyeliners

We all know that eyeliner is one among all makeups that could make us look more fresh and different.. But there are so may types of eyeliners that we have to know before we decide what to buy and what to use. We all want products that suit us the most and give us the final look that we want to achieve without getting any regret for buying the wrong product..

I usually use black eyeliner, a turning pencil and pen brush liquid type. < click to see what i mean with turning pencil and pen brush liquid type.

We all familiar with gel, pencil and liquid liner type.. but there are more types out there.. Every type of eye liners have their ow pros and cons, so, it's better to choose the one that suits you and your style more..

1. Cake Liner
    This eyeliner type looks like compact powder, and must be used like a watercolor powder

      Pros : - You can choose and make your own boldness and thickness line
                - Good for vintage and natural look
      Cons: - Troublesome, cause you have to have some water or toner with you if you wanna use it..
                - Not travel-friendly

2. Liquid Liner
    This liner is the most used among makeup artist. The lasting power depends on the products ingredients.

 

   Pros: - Best boldness among other types

            - Thickness can be regulated as you please

            - Travel-friendly

            - Quick dry (5 seconds)

   Cons: - Need lots of lots of practice and stable hand

             - Boldness can't be regulated (except if your liner is drying already, LOL)

             - Hard to use for begginers

             - Might give a 'thick makeup' look

             - Can't be used for waterline

3. Gel Liner

    This liner is also the most used among makeup artist.

   Pros: - Good for smokey eye look

            - Best lasting power than other liners

            - Boldness and thickness depends on how much product you take and how thick the brush is

            - Can be used for both waterline and eyelid

   Cons: - Easy to coagulate

        

4. Pencil Liner

    The simplest eyeliner ever.

    Pros: - Easy to use for begginers

             - Good to use for waterline

             - Cheap

    Cons: - Not good enough for lining your eyelid

              - Easy to smudge ( may turns you into raccoon)

              - Not good for people with sensitive eye, it may caused irritation

              - Easy to break, and always break when sharpen

              - I don't and will never recommend this sharpen pencil type ever..

5. Pen Liner / Pen Brush Liner

    Same as liquid liner,only different form

6. Eyeshadow

    Black or dark brown color can be used for natural eyeliner! Use a thin brush to apply.. 

    But never expect the eyeshadow be as bold as eyeliner. ;) Be careful, the powder may fall to your eyeball.

    You can use eyeshadow to make a guide line before you line your eyes too.

REMEMBER: 

- Lining your eyes without thigh lining will make your makeup looks un-natural.

- Put on some eye primer, eye shadow, or face powder to prevent the line from smudging

- Check your eye line every 2 hours, clean the smudged line with a Q-tip

- Make sure your  line is tidy and have the same length for your both eyes

Review: ETUDE House's Dream On Loose Powder

Loose powder is so perfect for people with combination and oily skin, since it helps to absorb excess oil from your face.

It ends up really natural too for daily look and doesn't cake up throughout the day if you use it in the right way, if you haven't know how to use it right, than you can read my 'how to..' post here ;)

I have been enjoying my loose powder from ETUDE House for quite long time..

Actually this product has been discontinued for short term, and came back because of customers' demand are too much over this product..

Oh, and I currently using the second shade.. which match people with yellowish beige skin tone color..

I have the first shade also as a give from my mom, but the color really doesn't match me.. and makes my face looks so pale, maybe this color will match people with pinkish white skin color..

Maybe my mom thought I have a super white skin like fairies'.. that was sweet, but a big no for real life. LOL.

See that 'oil absorbing finish'? Well, it doesn't cover up flaws but it smoothen your skin and i actually rarely or even never use their super cute and soft puff

Left one is super light color.. Right one is better on my skin..

Apricot Beige color with flash, looks like creamy white color..

 

Appricot Beige color without flash, looks like sand color? oh you can say that by yourself

Light Beige color without flash.. looks a lil bit pink there.. and nearly the same as the appricot beige color with flash..

You know how my face look so dead after using the light beige one hahaha

What I Like From This Loose Powder:

• Absorb oil
• Comes in 2 shades
• Cute packaging as always
• Smells nice
• Soft Puff included
• Has a kind of divider with holes to control how much products you wanna use
• Makes your face feels soft

What I Do Not Like From This Loose Powder:

• Wrong usage will makes your face looks weird throughout the day..

My Thoughts:
Try another product.. Still don't know what to try, but i just want to try as many products as I can.. I don't dislike this product either.. I just want to try another product.. but maybe I will buy an extra if this product will be discontinued again..

Oh and I think this product last about one year like other loose powder counted after you first opened the packaging. It doesn't say anything on it's box..

The Best Foundation For Your Makeup Ever

Have you ever wonder why most beauty brands always offer products that give you clean and healthy looking face?

Or have you ever dreamt of having a healthy, glowy, and even fresh after bath face?

I bet most of girls in the world have at least once dreamt about it..

That's why, most beauty brands offer us so many products with so many different functions to so many different skin types..

Unfortunately, there are so few girls who have that dreamt skin.. In fact, we all have flaws that hinder us from getting that innocent yet fabulous looking skin, right? That's why, nowadays girls give that attention more to makeup to improve their look..

Sadly, All Of Those Makeup Are Totally Useless, if you don't change your bad habit, and other things which are bad for your skin..

All you need are to have that awareness of these things.. 

     1.  POO / defecate 
          Looks so trivial, but this is one of the most important things to do!

• Defecate every morning! Our body will absorb all bad things from all feces that have been kept for too long in our intestine. This can cause acne problems..
• Breakfast can helps you to push all the feces down..So, Eat your breakfast properly!
• You can also massage your stomach to stimulate your intestine..

     2.  Wash your face before you sleep

• Skin will renew itself at night.. That's why, ignoring a dirty, oily, and covered with makeup skin to sleep, is a big mistake..
• Washing your face before sleep also help your blood circulation, which provides you a better sleep quality
• Use a cleansing scrub to removes dead skin from your pores.. Our skin will be totally renewed in 28 - 30 days (girls, good for you that you can use your period cycle for your standard).. 

     3.  Only use cosmetics that match you skin type

•  Every products have different nutrition for different skin types.. Like products with more moisturizer will suits people with dry skin type better than the oily skin type.. Or like yourself, if you have an allergic in seafood, will you eat fish? No right, so do your skin.. Treat your skin well guys..

     4. Talk to the mirror 

• This helps you to believe that you're beautiful the way you are.. The more you think that you're beautiful, the prettier you will be ;)

Always remember to treat you skin well as you treat yourself well..

"Be pretty, be comfortable, be proud, achieve your dream.."

Take care of your skin and invest on skincare product is important too, you might not notice any changes from skincare and good habits very fast as it’s not a magic or miracle potion. All these takes time and effort to see result. Better start looking after your skin when you’re young, else you’re going to regret it as you grow older. Fact is we cannot stop getting older, but I have told you how to delay the appearance of aging skin. Back to the start, time and effort.

Cakey Face? Big NO NO!!

Have got your face became cakey throughout a day? Have you ever wonder why?

If you think that the 'cakey' problem caused by the face makeup that you wear... then you are maybe 75% wrong..

Let me tell you.. there are so many make up brands in this world, with 2 categories..

1. Good to best quality (kind of MAC, NYX,Makeup Forever, Korean Brands, etc)
2. Average  to low quality (make up with or without brand that uses cheapest ingredients) > if you use this make up category then there are some possibilities for you to blame the makeup's quality...

If you own the good to best quality one.. than the mistakes are mostly with you..

And these are some points that you have to do to avoid cakey face..

     1. Moisturize your skin before you start everything

• This is a must for all skin type.. We need food, so do our face needs moisturizer..

     2.  Choose the face makeup that suits your skin type

•  If your face is an oily type, choose makeup that contains zero oil..
• As well as dry skin type, never use the free oil make up if you don't want to have your face dry as hell and your make up crack during the day
• For sensitive skin, just choose the sensitive skin products.. this should works best on you

     3.  Use a primer to start your make up [Optional]

• Primer helps your make up to stay a lot longer
• It fills your pores without clog it >soften your skin
• Soften your skin means you can apply your foundation more easily

     4.  Don't use TOO much face make up

• Too much face make up makes your face looks super unnatural and thick
• Too much might makes your skin hard to breath since they're all locked and clogged with your too much face make up
• Locked and clogged pores might cause acne trouble and blackheads, because your sebum can't go out normally so it stays in your pores with your too much face make up

     5. Absorb the excess oil from your base make up with a half layer face tissue

• Divide your tissue into 2.. You know that one face tissue has two layers.. 

     6.  NO all over face powder

• It's okay to use face powder, but don't use it all over your face if you already have your base make up on. Face powder is used to absorb the excess oil from your face and not to cover all of your base make up. So, use your face powder ONLY on the parts that become super oily through the day. 
• All over face powder might makes your face looks flat with no dimension. 
• You can use face powder all over your face when you don't have any base makeup and foundation on, but still never put too much
• Use loose powder for oily skin type! This powder type has more less oil in the product. Since to make a compact powder they have to use ingredients which contains oil to make loose powder compact. 
• Use a fluffy brush to apply powder and DO NOT use circular motion or any motion to apply, just brush it out once or twice if needed.. Using a brush helps to take less product, makes application faster and gives you a more natural finish.. On the other side using a puff might covers your pores which may cause blackheads and acne troubles and would makes your face look super cakey and crack your make up during the day.. 

     7. Spray some face mist to end your make up [Optional]

•  This step also helps your make up to stay longer throughout the day

Stay pretty and natural girls.. Even the prettiest girl in this world would look ugly with a cakey face ;)

Make up products are used to make us prettier and more confident, not to cover our real face and be a barbie..

Review: ETUDE House's Surpise Stick Concealer

HEY YOU!! What's up girls?

You know that black and blue bruise in your heart can't be covered by a fake smile.. cause your eyes are yelling and show it.. But, there's an important thing that CONCEALER can helps you to hide your black and blue (panda) eyes.. and makes you look more fresh! The more fresh you look, the more fresh you are, the more happy your heart will be #nevermindwiththeincorrespondentoppening

To whoever people who invented concealer.. I thanked you super duper much.. Love yaaa..

Why? Because, panda eyes add more ages to your face,but concealer can cover them up and makes you look way more younger, fresh and flawless. You can even wear concealer alone just to cover your blemishes and dark under eyes circle when you don't have any intention to put on makeup. With just putting it on, you actually already got that natural, flawless, and fresh look.

So, that's why choosing a best concealer is a must for me.. it would be great if the concealer has a good coverage yet match your skin color, doesn't caked through the day, and also moisturize your skin.

And, my favorite concealer until this day is the Surpise Stick Concealer from ETUDE House (actually I only own one concealer :P, no other choice)..

This product is such a nearly bommed bom.. It does a pretty good job..

What I like from this Concealer : 

• Medium to high coverage (depends on how bold the blemishes you need to cover)
• Moisturize your skin
• Smells good.. Well I think all ETUDE House's products always have that good smell
• Absolutely affordable
• Useful 
• Easy to blend

What I do not like from this Concealer :

• Doesn't stay throughout the day.. it fades of it's place [FATAL]
• Caked softly throughout the day especially on dark circle area (but it won't be seen if you don't zoom your face to someone's face)

My Thoughts :
I do pretty love this product.. but I still want to try out other concealers just to find the one that suits me super well. I don't say this stick concealer doesn't suit me but we're human right and we (me actually) never easily satisfied huahaha. #ignoremyevillaugh

My makeup and skincare motto:
'Try as many products as you can, then choose the one that suits you the most'

My shopping motto:
'Read as many reviews as you can,or you'll end up damned by the product(s) you purchased'

Just combine them :
'Read as many review as you can, then try products that have more possitive reviews and choose the one from them that suits you the most' XD

Here are some extras for my lovely readers and followers [Three ways to use concealer and BB cream]..

  1. Apply Concealer first then BB Cream for a flawless look
  2. Apply BB Cream then Concealer for natural look
  3. Mix both BB cream and Concealer (should be liquid concealer) for a flawless, natural and dollish look

And remember guys.. if you are going to put on some concealer under your eyes.. do blend it down, never ever concentrate it exactly just under your eyes area..

Review: ETUDE House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit

Yei.. I think I'm going to blogged a lot to fill my holiday time..

Ok, today I'm going to give my opinios about the super famous BB Cream from ETUDE House!

I got this BB cream about last November, I think, I have used it quiet a few times.. and here's my opinions!!

Got mine in shade No.2 light beige

Comes with 4 skin tone choices (light beige, natural beige, medium beige and sand beige)

How to use this BB Cream

Well, as you have known, in my past post, I do fall in love with my first BB tinted moisturizer Cream (you can read here if you haven't), and actually, when I'm going to restock my BB Cream, and still doubting what BB Cream I should try.. then I came out with the SHINEE BB Lotion.. but.. my mom got me this one.. she said: "it's good.. the biggest BB cream I can found in store.. and you don't need to restock your BB Cream so often right?" and I was like "ok mom, I got it.. ok.. -___-"" what a funny mom I have..

Last for 12 months counted from the very first time you opened the packaging :)

OK.. let's go to my opinions..

It says: Anti wrinkle & Whitening (Anti darkening) + zero oil, coverage up, longer lasting, keep your dazzling skin all day like a precious pearl (the official web says so)

Well.. I am not really agree with their official web.. since things that I don't like from this BB Cream is pretty much controvert with the web's saying..

Let me tell you what I like first then move on to what i don't like as usual

What I like from this Mineral BB Cream:

• Mineral, mineral's good for daily makeup.. 
• It really does brightening my skin even after I got sunburn.. B)
• Hygienic packaging
• Good coverage (medium to high)
• Zero oil !! 

What I do not like from this Mineral BB Cream:

• Doesn't last long.. (when I scratch my face,the BB cream get into my nails)
• Not really natural finish look
• Feels a little bit too much and cakey 
• Takes such a pretty long time to absorb well into your skin
• Doesn't moisturize your skin since it's zero oil..

But since experiment brings you a new discovery... I found out how to make this BB Cream looks way more natural and not too much yet cakey..

FEW STEPS FOR A NON CAKEY AND NOT NATURAL FINISH LOOK

1. Pump the BB Cream onto your fingers (not your nails, to where you have your fingerprint on). Remember to not to use to much..
2. Rub it with your opposite fingers.. This step will melt the BB Cream well before we apply it to our face
3. Blend the melted BB Cream all over your face.
4. and your non cakey natural finish look is done..

Well, sadly after I think about this Few Steps all over again, I think that they waste a lot of product..
Most of the BB Cream stuck in, and between our fingerprint's gap.. So, lately I mix this BB Cream with my tinted magic BB moisturizer, and hoping it decrease the cakey finish look, but it just works a super little bit. Yah, better a little bit than nothing right?

OR..YOU CAN DO

1. Pump BB Cream on the back of your hand
2. Dab it all over your face
3. Blend it well wit your finger
4. Use a big fluffy brush to blend them out once again and remove the excess product from your face
5. Tadaa... Done.. This steps will also decrease the unnatural glow and prevent your makeup from shattering / cracking during the day..

--Using a brush will help the products to fill any different angle of pores on your face makes it looks more natural, perfect and flawless--

My thought: 
Absolutely move on..I do not hate this product, because everybody has their own skin type and skin needs right? I just think that this BB Cream doesn't suit my skin type, and what my skin needs..

In fact I still want to try ETUDE House's Precious Mineral Cotton BB Bright Fit.. which has a matte and powdery finish look.. I think this brand new BB Bright Fit will provide a way more natural, no makeup look.

So, again girls.. never judge products just because they don't match and do any goods to your skin.. bacause maybe it's us who's wrong. well, products don't have any choices, but we have.. so.. be wise when you're buying products.. and never blame yourself for taking the wrong products.. cause it will remind you to be carefull when you're shopping next time :)

This is all what I wanted to say to you guys.. sorry for the lecture on my last paragraph..I just think that I need to say that.
